Donation, Cancellation & Refund Policy
Clear terms for voluntary charitable contributions, PAN and Form 10BD statutory reporting, 7-day duplicate transaction refund protocols, and domestic INR payment gateway compliance.
1. Nature of Charitable Contributions
All contributions made on ashjyotifoundation.org are voluntary, non-refundable charitable gifts dedicated to non-profit animal welfare programs under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013. Donated funds are deployed immediately for:
- Daily green cattle fodder (Napier grass, Lucerne, wheat straw, and balanced cattle feed).
- 24/7 veterinary trauma surgeries, critical medications, oxygen therapy, and ambulance fuel.
- Infrastructure capital expenditure for the Dadri Gaushala Sanctuary (2000 Sq. Yard).
2. Tax Compliance, PAN Submission & Form 10BD Disclosures
In accordance with Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) guidelines and the Income Tax Act, 1961:
- Mandatory PAN Submission: Donors seeking statutory tax exemption receipts must provide their valid 10-character Permanent Account Number (PAN) at the time of donation.
- Form 10BD Filing: The Foundation files annual returns of donations (Form 10BD) with the Income Tax Department. This enables eligible donors to download their authentic Form 10BE Certificate of Donation directly from the official Income Tax e-filing portal.
- Truthful Statutory Notice: Tax deductions are subject to individual donor assessments under prevailing Income Tax laws. Ashjyoti Foundation issues genuine non-profit receipts and does not promise unauthorized tax reductions.
3. Duplicate Transaction Resolution & Refund Policy
Because donations are applied immediately to emergency animal care, general refund requests cannot be entertained. However, refunds are processed strictly under the following technical exception:
- Eligible Technical Glitches: Unintended duplicate debiting, multiple payments processed for a single transaction pledge due to gateway latency, or accidental excess transfer errors.
- Claim Window: Donors must submit a formal refund request within 7 calendar days of the transaction date.
- Required Documentation: Email
accounts@ashjyotifoundation.orgwith donor full name, transaction date, payment gateway UTR / transaction ID, and bank debit proof. - Settlement Timeline: Validated duplicate charges will be credited back to the original payment source (bank account, card, or UPI ID) within 5 to 7 working days via our payment gateway aggregator, strictly adhering to RBI refund directives.
4. Domestic INR Contributions & FCRA Compliance Notice
In strict compliance with the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 (FCRA):
- Ashjyoti Foundation accepts donations exclusively in Indian Rupees (INR) drawn from domestic Indian bank accounts, Indian debit/credit cards, and Indian UPI interfaces.
- Foreign currency payments, cards issued outside India, or international wire transfers cannot be accepted on this domestic checkout portal unless explicit FCRA permissions are active.
