Who can volunteer with PashuRescue?
Anyone aged 18 and above with compassion for animals, reliable availability, and a willingness to follow our safety guidelines can volunteer. We welcome animal lovers, students, working professionals, drivers, photographers, and veterinarians.
Are volunteers authorized to perform veterinary treatments independently?
No. In strict compliance with animal welfare regulations, volunteers are never permitted to administer injections, medications, or perform veterinary procedures independently. All clinical and rescue care is directed by qualified veterinarians.
What safety measures are in place for volunteers?
Volunteers receive safety briefings, work under experienced team leads, and are never assigned to independently handle aggressive, rabies-suspected, or severely agitated animals. Emergency hotlines and first-aid protocols are active on all drives.
What is the time commitment required?
We offer flexible volunteering options including weekend sanctuary drives (2-4 hours), weekly feeding rounds, digital/social media support, or emergency on-call transport assistance.
Will I receive a Volunteer Registration Certificate?
Yes. Following initial coordinator screening, onboarding orientation, and verification, active volunteers receive an official digital Volunteer Certificate with a verified registration ID.
Is there any fee or charge to volunteer?
No. Volunteering with Ashjyoti Foundation is completely free. We never charge registration fees or sell mandatory volunteer training packages.
